I'm originally from Finland, and have ended up in Derbyshire via London, New Zealand, Australia and Ireland. I've now lived in beautiful little town of Wirksworth for 10 years with my husband and our daughter and son. I work in the arts sector and enjoy outdoor sports.

Tiina's hillside cottage was wonderful, it was spotless and had everything we needed - the biscits and milk were a nice welcome too. The views from the cottage were lovely. There was lots of information in the cottage on local walks, things to do in Wirksworth and further a field. We spend most of our weekends in the Derbyshire hills and Derbyshire offers lots of hidden gems. This is one of my favourite places - Stanton Moor with heather in full bloom. In late summer there are lots of bilberries too.
