Chatsworth House

The home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. You can walk around the beautiful grounds for free, or pay to visit the House and Gardens.

Approximately 25minute drive from Wirksworth.

Bonsall

A nearby village (approximately 10-minute drive by car) that has a very quirky traditional pub called the ‘Barley Mow’ which is worth a visit and plenty of walking opportunities from the village.

Stanton Moor

Stanton Moor and the Nine Ladies stone circle is a scenic area with many Bronze Age relics and burial mounds overlooking the pretty village of Stanton in Peak. It is approximately a 20-minute drive from Wirksworth on the B5056 road.

Haddon Hall 

A fortified medieval manor house dating from the 12th Century, and is the home of Lord and Lady Edward Manners whose family have owned it since 1567. Approximately 20minute car drive from Wirksworth, or catch bus number 6.1. from Wirksworth.
